Privacy
This site is run by Nick Kassouf ("I", "me") at startyourcoffeeshop.com. This page explains what information is collected when you use it, why, and what your choices are. I've kept it short and in plain English; if anything is unclear, email [email protected].
What I collect
- Email address, when you request the free guide or buy the course. That's the only personal information the site asks for directly.
- Purchase details (name, email, and what you bought), when you buy the course. Payment is processed by Thinkific and its payment provider (Stripe). I never see or store your card number.
- Usage data, collected automatically through Google Analytics and the Google Ads conversion tag: pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, how you arrived at the site. This is used in aggregate to understand which pages and ads work.
- Call scheduling details, if you buy the Course + Call tier and book a time through the scheduling link.
How it's used
- To send you the guide you asked for and a short series of follow-up emails about opening a coffee shop. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To give you access to the course and support your account.
- To measure whether the site and its advertising are working.
- Never to sell, rent, or share your email with anyone for their own marketing.
Services that handle your data
Kit (email delivery), Thinkific (course hosting and checkout), Stripe (payment processing, through Thinkific), Google Analytics and Google Ads (site measurement), and the scheduling tool used for calls. Each operates under its own privacy policy. These services may use cookies; you can block cookies in your browser and the site will still work, though the guide form and course login need them.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from emails any time using the link in any message.
- Access, correct, or delete your information by emailing [email protected]. I'll respond within 30 days.
- California residents have the right under the CCPA to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. I don't sell personal information. Requests go to the same email.
- Opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on, or block the cookie.
Children
This site is for adults planning a business. I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date above will update and, if you're on the email list, I'll tell you.
